Our Story: Sharing the Joy of Camel Rides Since 2012

Our journey began in 2012 in the wide-open landscapes of Western Australia, where our founder, Kevin Kramer, first got involved in the world of camel rides. Drawn to the simple beauty of camels and the joy they bring to people, Kevin delved into the art of camel training and ownership, learning the ropes and gaining a deep appreciation for these incredible animals.

Fast forward to 2023, and Kevin fulfilled his dream of introducing this unique camel-riding experience to the heartland of the United States. Pappys Camels was born out of his desire to share the delight of camels with the American heartland, where we've been providing unforgettable camel rides and special events ever since.

What sets us apart is our unwavering commitment to top-notch customer service and delivering an authentic camel experience like no other. Our specially designed camel saddles are all about rider safety. Here's the beauty of it: they allow riders to enjoy the thrill of a camel ride without the need for equestrian helmets, ensuring that the experience is not just fun but also safe.

One of our most cherished parts of the journey? Our unique Safety Saddles, recognized as the most distinctive in the USA, are built with kids and those with special needs in mind, making sure everyone can join in the adventure. Hailing from Nebraska in the United States, Kevin has worked with large animals all his life.

He used his highly developed skills in training horses, to move into the camel riding and hire business and has been working with camels off and on since the late 80’s.

Kevin is the man to speak to about what you need for your event.

Pappys Camels takes great pride in providing jobs for young people in the Camel Hire & Ride business. It employs teenagers throughout the United States during the school holidays.
